Shoplifting

What if the Web had eyes? What if you had a self-contained, web-ready camera that allowed you to capture and display live images over your Network and Internet.

Concise purpose

To visually register who is on the way out when the shoplifting alarm goes off.

Application type

Automatic, sequence of pictures.

Purpose

Today most stores have shoplifting alarm installed. Most often a small tag with some magnetic behavior attached to every item in the store. Although it is a good system it is still possible to take something and run out of the store. It is not often that the shop assistants have a chance to see who it was.
With the Camera Server connected to the shoplifting alarm you will be able to catch the thief on video and if necessary mail the picture to the local security company, police or your neighbor stores.

Description

Each time the shoplifting alarm goes off, the Camera Server will automatically start to take pictures, and continue to do so for three minutes. The pictures will be stored on a computer for future reference.
( also great for security!)

Configurations

Before you can use your Camera Server you have to configure its settings.
